5/2/2024 0 Comments Diablo 3 forgotten souls![]() ![]() I even did the math, which made sense, and I though that's what they did.Ī full bag of ancestral rares is 33 items, say like 20% is 2 handed weapons, that would be just a hair under 4 (39.6) forgotten souls per bag. ![]() After I read the patch notes I really did think that was the case. I really think that if they're going to increase the costs that we need a chance to get them from salvaging rares. It's steps in the right direction but it still needs to cook lol It used to take about an hour to get 5 million gold collecting and vendoring every rare/legendary. You also get ~5 million gold from tree of whispers each time you do it. So far that has not happened to me yet and I'm full ancestral, granted not the absolute best 4/4 affixes.Īlso, the blood event thing is a complete loot dump so you do get tons of legendaries to salvage so you can get some doing that. The costs used to get so ridiculous that you would have to quit enchanting it and then go find a new item to enchant, which obviously takes way more time than doing a helltide. Well not exactly, it's still a massive buff because you're not spending insane amounts of game gold to reroll rares. I'm not sure if that's a bug or was intended. I'm 89 now and I haven't gotten one off a rare. I was under the impression from the patch notes that we would be getting them at a reasonable rate from salvaging ancestral rares (10%), but that is clearly not the case. Truth is they need to drop the reroll requirement back to 1. When I got 71 I was playing a pulverize druid, which is probably the best character for farming helltides. Run speed on both boots and amulet is super helpful and some characters like a rupture barb are just not going to do very well. The last thing is: The character/build matters a lot. Sometimes there will be a second elite that was spawned by another player who ran away. Immediately after killing the elite, horse up and look around your immediate area. Those elites will also drop the forgotten souls. Just stand around while they are falling (don't die) because that means an elite is going to spawn near you. Some players will run in circles to keep doing the events, which is good for the cinders, but you'll find less hell veins if you do that.Īnother good way to get them is when the meteors spawn, don't run away from them. They almost always spawn near the edge of a rock outcropping. The main strategy to find these is to try to explore the entire map rather than running in circles. These are special ore nodes that randomly appear and will give you up to 4 forgotten souls. The second most important thing is the hell veins. The new living steel chests will also drop a reasonable amount of forgotten souls, but the smaller chests are honestly a waste of time for the souls and frequently don't drop any. Always use for help finding these so you don't waste time looking around for them. The fastest way to get them is to open the mystery chests and hopefully the helltide did not start exactly on the hour (x:00) because if it didn't, then the mystery chests will respawn on the hour, so you can get 4-6 in a single hour of your time. I was able to get 4 mystery chests (it was a x:30 reset on the mystery chests), a living steel chest, a few smaller chests, and the most hell veins I've ever gotten in a single helltide. Normally, I expect to get about 50 or so, but you can absolutely have a bad hour and only get like 30. So, I just got 71 forgotten souls in a single helltide and I wanted share some tips because I realize some players are struggling to get a good amount of them in a single hour.įirst of all, 71 is shockingly high and I definitely think it was the best hour I've ever done.
